A team of researchers recently looked at how to place a monetary value on the life of a dog. Their reasoning stems from the quandary of “how do you value the invaluable”? Experts have developed methodologies for what is called “shadow prices,” for example, the value of a human life is $10,000,000 by federal agencies. But before this research it seems like our dogs didn’t get the attention from the experts. See the surprising results of their analysis that places $10,000 on the value of a dog’s life.
